700,000 is the approximate number of hours in a human lifetime. A reminder of the finite nature of time and an invitation to consider how we choose to spend it. Through 700,000 Heures Impact, Thierry Teyssier explores new ways of travelling that place meaning, attention and connection at the centre of the experience.
After pioneering a new form of hospitality with Dar Ahlam and the early floating hotel seasons across Japan, Cambodia, Brazil and beyond, Thierry joined forces with Diane Binder, founder of Regenopolis, whose work focuses on environmental stewardship and community resilience. Together, they have brought hospitality and regeneration into dialogue, using travel as a way to support local autonomy and rethink our relationship with places.

Our journeys are open to travellers who feel a desire to engage with the world thoughtfully whether travelling as individuals, couples, families or through trusted travel advisers.
When you book a journey, you enter a community that values authentic encounters and shared responsibility. Travellers are invited to approach each destination with curiosity and respect, recognising that their presence is part of a broader story shaped by local cultures, landscapes and people. Those who wish may deepen their involvement over time by supporting projects or continuing the conversation beyond the journey.

Giving is woven into the spirit of 700,000 Heures Impact. Not as an obligation, but as a gesture of reciprocity. Contributions support local projects, community-led initiatives and long-term efforts to restore ecosystems and preserve cultural heritage through our foundation and trusted local partners.
Our approach brings together hospitality revenues, philanthropy and collaboration with local stakeholders to create a model where travel contributes positively to the places that host us. Donations help fund training, local enterprises, conservation work and initiatives designed to strengthen community resilience, ensuring that each season leaves a meaningful legacy.
