Our exceptional take on Salento.
COMPLETE IMMERSION INTO ITALYIn southern Italy, where Puglia stretches towards the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, the captivating region of Salento awaits. At its tip, in Gagliano del Capo, the 700,000 Heures Impact journey unfolded in a grand historical palace dating back to 1861. The residence, with its sprawling courtyard, lush gardens and exceptional salons, served as a haven of elegance and charm. The estate, with four spacious bedrooms, offered the possibility of an additional room for larger groups. Guests enjoyed an array of activities, from exploring Salento’s scenic roads in a vintage Fiat 500 to sailing between hidden caves and savouring local delicacies prepared from freshly foraged sea urchins. The experience included cycling through olive groves, making fresh pasta or mozzarella, and dining in unique settings such as an abandoned wagon or a seaside cave. Each day presented new surprises, from candlelit dinners in the palace courtyard to calligraphy lessons and private wine tastings. Salento, with its blend of rich history, vibrant culture and stunning landscapes, provided an idyllic backdrop for an extraordinary and unforgettable stay.
